Hello Food Lovers,
This weekend I am super excited to attend my first Food Bloggers conference hosted by The Food Bloggers of Canada. Image a room filled with other people who love food, take photos of it and share it with the world. Can’t you just feel the food love. I am sure it will be an interesting weekend filled with other bloggers who love food of all kinds. The conference is drawing in bloggers from all over Canada.
You might be wondering why a future Holistic Nutritionist would go to Food Bloggers conference that is likely more about cupcakes, desserts, sugar, flour, red meat, corn products and even processed foods. Well, I know that the majority of people love all of the above foods. And moving to a whole foods eating approach that focuses on 6 cups of veggies and 3 cups of fruit can be challenging until you really understand the benefits of what great food can do for you. But that does not mean you can never enjoy a cupcake, a dessert, red meat, a good glass of wine, corn products and some processed foods. And of course chocolate. If you react to them, you certainly want to avoid them but if you don’t, the occasional treat makes life more exciting and is also very tasty. Beautiful food that has been made with love is a delight to enjoy with friends and family.
This weekend, I will learn from my peers on what makes a blog more interesting, how to improve my photography, how to improve my writing skills and I will even get some food styling tips. And I will likely meet some of the other Canadian bloggers of that you might also follow. So in the months to come, you might just see some upgrade to this wellness journey blog.
Wellness is a journey. As you go down the path, you make choices of what works for you and what does not. My favourite quote right now is by Julie Daniluk, “there are 7 billion diets for 7 billion people”. That means, your wellness path will be as individual as you are. And as I increase my own knowledge on what works, I will share what I learn with you, so you can make choices that will help you continue on your own wellness journey.
May your weekend have be filled with new experiences, exciting food and interesting people.
To finding your own personal wellness food plan,
Jo-Ann Blondin, your 9CupChallenge partner
It sounds like a blast, Jo-Ann. Have fun – and maybe you can teach those other food bloggers a thing or two about focusing on the best foods of all: veggies and fruit!
The 9CupChallenge and my views on veggies and fruit were shared with an amazing group of people who are dedicated to food blogging. What an amazing community of recipe developers, foodies, cookbook writers, food lovers and technology embracers. The first conference ever for the Food Bloggers of Canada was a huge success and I was pleased to be part of it.

Have fun Jo-Ann!
