Mid-morning snack #3 – Rice cake, almond butter, Hemp Hearts & Ground Flax Seeds

Hi almond butter snackers,

I have mentioned that one of my favourite mid-morning snacks is crunchy almond butter on a rice cake.   I recently upped the fibre and Omega-3 in my favourite snack.

I now add Hemp Hearts and Ground Flax Seeds to the top

Directions

  • Take a sugar free organic rice cake and add almond butter
  • In a small cup, combine 1 tbsp hemp heart with 1 tbsp of ground flax seeds.
  • Pour on top of almond butter.
  • If you are rushed, you can just add one tbsp at a time to the almond butter top.  Spread evenly.
  • Over time, increase the hemp hearts and ground seeds to get more fibre and Omega-3 in your diet.

Be sure to drink lots of water 30 minutes before this snack and throughout the day.
